Harmonograph Art

Harmomographs employ pendulums to create geometric shapes onto paper using pens or other material. Using a lateral harmonograph (a two pendulum harmonograph) and Staedtler fibre tip pens, Gillian Hebblewhite creates unique harmonograph art by manipulating the harmonograph, pens and paper when still and in motion and layering geometric shapes over one another. This means that each piece is truly a one off.
